Grant Pursuit Terms of Service

Effective August 31, 2026

These Terms govern access to Grant Pursuit, a grant-operations service operated by Homeless Pets Foundation, Inc. ("HPF," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing Grant Pursuit, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the organization that authorized your account.

Authorized use

Grant Pursuit is available to users invited or otherwise authorized by an organization, solely for lawful nonprofit grant research, application, administration, reporting, and related operations. Public signup is closed. You must provide accurate information, remain authorized by your organization, follow your organization's policies, and use only the organization data and features your role permits.

Account security

Keep credentials and devices secure, use multi-factor authentication when required, do not share accounts, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account until you notify us, except where applicable law provides otherwise. We may require reauthentication or suspend access to protect users or data.

Your content and permissions

You and your organization retain ownership of content submitted to Grant Pursuit. You grant HPF a limited, nonexclusive right to host, copy, process, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service, comply with law, and follow authorized instructions. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit and process the content.

Acceptable use

You may not:

  • access another account or organization without authorization, bypass access controls, or probe for vulnerabilities;
  • upload malware, unlawful content, or information you are not permitted to use;
  • interfere with the service, overload systems, scrape at unreasonable volume, or reverse engineer except where law expressly permits;
  • misrepresent identity, approvals, evidence, submissions, or AI-generated material; or
  • use Grant Pursuit to violate law, third-party rights, funder rules, or sanctions and export restrictions.

Third-party services

Grant Pursuit may interoperate with services such as Google, Supabase, funder sites, email providers, storage providers, accounting systems, and AI providers. Their own terms and privacy practices govern your direct relationship with them. Third-party availability, data, and decisions are outside our control. Connecting a service authorizes the data exchanges clearly presented in that workflow; it does not transfer ownership of your content.

AI-assisted features

AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, biased, outdated, or unsuitable. It is a proposal, not legal, financial, accounting, or grantmaking advice. Authorized users must independently review source evidence, citations, eligibility, budgets, narratives, and submission requirements before accepting or using output. You remain responsible for final decisions and submissions. Do not provide information to an AI feature unless your organization permits that processing.

Service availability and changes

We may maintain, update, limit, or discontinue features and may impose reasonable usage limits. We aim to provide reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Preserve independent copies of records your organization must retain and verify deadlines and instructions with the relevant funder.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Grant Pursuit at any time. Your organization may remove your access. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, security risk, legal requirement, nonpayment where applicable, or discontinuation of the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law—remain in effect.

Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GRANT PURSUIT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." HPF DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL PRODUCE FUNDING, IDENTIFY EVERY OPPORTUNITY, OR SATISFY A FUNDER'S REQUIREMENTS. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES A WARRANTY THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HPF AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST FUNDING, REVENUE, DATA, OR OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM GRANT PURSUIT. HPF'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOUR ORGANIZATION PAID HPF FOR GRANT PURSUIT DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR $100 IF NO AMOUNT WAS PAID. THESE LIMITS DO NOT APPLY WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

Georgia law

Georgia law governs these Terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts serving Cobb County, Georgia, and each party consents to their jurisdiction, except where applicable law requires another forum.

Changes and general terms

We may update these Terms and will post the revised version with a new effective date. Material changes may receive additional notice. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or these Terms without our consent; HPF may transfer them as part of a reorganization or service transfer.
